Finding an Article
For articles published since July 2006, go to the TRIAL
digital edition, select "Search" on the toolbar, and
search by keyword or phrase. For articles dating back to June 1995,
consult the TRIAL
Index , organized by subject and author. For articles published
earlier, check the December issue of the relevant year in print; it
contains that year's subject and author index. If you cannot find
an article after checking an index, or you do not have access to a
December issue, call (800) 424-2725, ext. 216, for further assistance.
Publication of Articles
All submissions are acknowledged on receipt. They are reviewed by
the editors and then submitted for peer review by attorneys or experts
in the field. The review process usually takes three to four weeks.
Typically, an article is published two to three months after being
accepted.
Books to be Reviewed
Book publishers can send press releases and review copies of new
books to the Book Review Editor at TRIAL's editorial offices. Please
send only books that have been in print less than six months and first
editions. TRIAL does not review books by vanity presses or self-publishers.
For more information, write trial@justice.org.
Book Reviews
TRIAL does not accept unsolicited reviews. You may, however, send
a letter to the Book Review Editor at TRIAL's editorial
offices, describing your area of expertise. The editors will be
happy to keep your name in mind as a potential book reviewer. For
more information, write trial@justice.org.
Permission to Reprint Articles
Check the author biography accompanying the article to see who holds
copyright. Unless otherwise indicated, TRIAL holds copyright on the
article. If so, call, fax, or write the editorial offices to request permission. Provide the article
title, author, and date of issue, and explain how you intend to use
the reprint. We will respond in writing with permission and a credit
line. If the author holds copyright, we will provide a mailing address
on request. If another publisher holds copyright, contact the publisher.
For more information, write trial@justice.org.
Change of Address Information
To notify us of a change of address, send one change of address announcement
to the Membership Department. Its staff members control our central
membership database, and all other departments will have access to
the new information. If you have regular personal contact with a certain
department (for instance, if you are a section chair and work often
with the sections coordinator), you should call your contact there
to be sure your information is immediately updated in your records.
To request a change of address by e-mail, write trial@justice.org.
