Blind Nursing Home Resident's Case Not Allowed in Court

April 11— In the years following her admittance into the nursing home, Helen was hospitalized several times for a number of injuries including malnutrition, dehydration, bed sores and poor hygiene. One month after being admitted to the hospital in March of 2001, Helen passed away as a result of these injuries. After her death, Helen's family found that they could not hold the nursing home fully accountable because of the mandatory arbitration clause. Read more.
