About The Program

Taking and defending depositions well are among the most critical skills every trial lawyer needs—and are abilities seldom acquired in law school. This program combines lectures, demonstrations, and small interactive workshops to offer you a special opportunity to increase your deposition skills, led by masters of the art. Over the course of three days, top trial lawyers will guide you through a variety of deposition techniques and strategies. Your recorded workshops will allow you to practice defending depositions and taking depositions of both lay and expert witnesses.

Hotel & Travel Arrangements

Executive Travel Associates (ETA), the official travel agency of AAJ, offers special room rates at the program hotel; these rates are valid only through ETA. Staying at the program hotel assists AAJ in defraying its meeting room costs. ETA also offers discounted fares for air travel on several major carriers, including fares without a Saturday night stay, and on car rentals. A limited number of rooms have been blocked for program registrants at the Sheraton Atlanta. The room block will be held until exhausted or until April 25, 2008. To receive AAJ's special group rate of $159 per day, single or double occupancy, plus15% sales tax, identify yourself as attending the AAJ's Trial Advocacy College: Depositions when making reservations. If for unforeseen reasons this program is canceled, AAJ cannot be held financially responsible for nonrefundable airline tickets, and room rates cannot be guaranteed.

Cancellation Policy

Please note that all cancellations for our programs must be submitted in writing. Cancellations received in writing by May 9, 2008 will result in a refund less a 10% administrative charge. Cancellations received May 10-15, 2008 will result in a voucher for the entire registration fee which may be applied toward any AAJ Education college or seminar held within one calendar year of the date of issue.
