AAJ is looking for an Associate Director to:
• Manage the customer service center for membership;
• Work closely with the Director of Membership to ensure the membership plans, and programs are carried out;
• Implement strategic business processes that targets increasing revenue and membership numbers; membership department is meeting and/or exceeding the budget and performance goals;
• Plan and direct efforts to continuously improve the current online and/or print version of the AAJ Membership Directory ensuring this benefit is cost affective and increases the value of membership;
• Research and communicate problems/solutions.
Position requirements:
• 8 years or more of supervising multiple staff, functions and tasks, preferably in an association; highly developed organizational, staff leadership, and budgeting skills;
• Extensive experience directing membership database and directory in both print and electronic formats, member billing and renewals, customer service training and commitment, statistical reporting, programming requests and testing, budgeting, process-mapping and analysis.
• Experience and ability to work well with all levels of staff and volunteer leadership.
• Proficiency in large-scale computerized membership data systems.
• Ability to analyze and recommend procedural and system efficiencies.
• High degree of accuracy in work quality and meeting goals and deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a high level of diplomacy.
• Coursework in management, budgeting, and accounting required.
• College degree preferred.
