Workers' Compensation and Workplace Injury

The purpose of the Workers' Compensation and Workplace Injury Section is to educate its members with respect to available legal remedies to protect all employees within the workplace and to provide legal redress to individual workers, or classes of workers, harmed in the course and scope of their employment. Including "Workplace Injury" in the title expands the scope of the Section and recognizes that members deal with many types of claims for workplace injury compensation.

Letter from the Chair

On behalf of the Workers’ Compensation and Workplace Injury Section, I would like to welcome you to join us at the 2012 AAJ Annual Convention.  Our goal as a Section is to provide for our members the best information on legal remedies to protect employees in the workplace, as well as to provide legal redress to workers harmed in the course of performing their job.  To this end, in addition to our Section meeting, which will be held on Sunday, July 29th from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, we will also hold an education program focused on obtaining cases and leveraging your practice.  This will cover possible utilization of social media, identifying mass tort and third-party claims, and ethical issues.

I encourage you to join us at the Convention, learn about these vital issues in workers compensation and workplace injury, and join our growing Section.  I look forward to seeing everyone there.
