The Marketing Coordinator coordinates and implements marketing strategies to communicate with members and increase usage of AAJ's various programs, products and services. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment, and works collaboratively with a diverse group of internal and external clients to create and manage cross-organizational, integrated marketing communications. This position is responsible for project implementation efforts including: promotional campaigns, project liaison and coordination, development of collateral material, marketing trade agreement management, and meeting multiple deadlines.
SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE
• Works closely with marketing personnel and internal clients to facilitate production of promotional materials.
• Manages correspondence to membership, coordinates broadcast messages
• Supports marketing staff by writing and editing promotional copy; producing marketing pieces; managing direct marketing lists; and implementing broadcast e-mails, faxes, and direct mail
• Works with external marketing agencies and freelancers to create materials and coordinate campaigns
• Works with outside vendors to maintain and promote online member services
• Manages trade agreements, and schedules and executes member discount programs with AAJ partnered companies
• Coordinates ad space reservations, deadlines, and ad rotations in various printed and Web-based publications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of two years progressive marketing and/or project management experience, as well as administrative office work experience
• College degree highly preferred
• Experience in an association or marketing environment a plus
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Strong written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated experience and results in print and electronic marketing communications
• Skill in coordinating with outside vendors, agencies, and internal clients
• Ability to create and grow relationships with industry partners
• Software: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MagnetMail (or other email management software), Reddot (or other web content management software)
